Hump Day Happies (03.04.15)

Happy Hump Day! Here are some things that are making me happy lately.

1. Happy Endings. My fandom towards Casey Wilson continues. I just finished season one and am bummed that I now only have two seasons left. Why oh why were you cancelled?!

2. Falafel. I just love it so much–Falafel King is everything.

3. Summer sent me this in a pin and I just love it so much since it’s all about the best movie ever.

4. Podcasts. I’ve rediscovered the convenience and fun that is the podcast recently and I’ve been catching up on sermons and it’s been very good.

5. This kitchen that I want to stand in always.

6. Snow White and this pin which made me laugh.

7. Coffee. I just love it so much. I had a horrible cold all last week and forced myself to not drink any coffee since caffeine dries out your throat. I was fine–but oh how I missed it. So I’m not taking it for granted now that my throat is fairly back to normal.

8. Essie’s Geranium nail polish. I just love it. I included it on my last HDH post and had to include it again because I’m currently wearing it in order to be in more of an It’s Almost Spring!” mood. And it’s helped a lot.

9. This smiling little lamb. So adorable.

10. These Sharpie pens. They don’t bleed through paper and I want to write everything with them always.

Hump Day Happies (07.02.14)

Here’s a random Hump Day Happies. Because it’s the Wednesday before a holiday weekend and that should make us all very happy.

1. The Mindy Project. I love Mindy. She’s hilarious and I can’t wait for her newest season to come out.

Gelato Fiasco

2. Gelato. I just love it so much. The other night Amie, Aaron, and I went over to Mike’s and I got their raspberry gelato. The best. Though it doesn’t top Gelato Fiasco in Portland, ME. Still thinking about that place…

3. Chicken Tikka Masala. I have yet to find my go-to Indian place here in Boston (oh, how I miss you, Wazwan!). The few places I’ve tried are either too far away from me or too expensive, so a few weeks ago, I decided to make my own. And it actually turned out alright! I haven’t made it again yet, but I look forward to playing around with the ingredients to find the perfect version. Maybe this is why people like to cook. Hmm.

4. My Broadway Spotify Playlist. I have to continually remind myself that listening to it just makes my day better.

5. Marcel the Shell With Shoes On. I’ve blogged about this before but I was reminded of it for some reason the other day and it’s just so cute.

6. Annie’s Mac & Cheese. I’ve been eating way too much of this lately than I’d care to admit, but it’s just the best.

7. Summer in Boston. I am not the biggest fan of the humidity, but it’s been so fun experiencing all four seasons. Now that I’ve almost been here for exactly a full year, I’ve seen all four, and with summer comes this idea of freedom. And how appropriate, since Independence Day is this Friday.

8. This tiny house in Oregon. This couple built their own tiny house and it’s so cute and efficient. If only I could have my own in the woods somewhere.

9. Geranium Essie nail polish. It’s so springy and summery and perfect.

10. This lovely picture. It’s just so perfectly Snow White-y and I can’t handle it.

Happy Wednesday!

Hump Day Happies (12.18.13)

I used to do these posts every Wednesday–I stopped almost three years ago, but here’s a random Hump Day Happies post just because.

1. I like candles and apples and so I think these are pretty wonderful. And look at her nails!

2. Haha oh little Rebekkah. Seen here. Reminds me of this which has been popping around all overe Facebook, for good reason.

3. I bought this washi tape from Target the other day and I’ve been trying to find all kinds of ways to use it.

4. Last month when we went to Portland, ME I decided I had to own this lobster-shaped cookie cutter. You know, because “he’s her lobster!”

5. Chocolate oranges. I don’t know what it is about them, but did you know that you can only get these in stores during Christmas time? Maybe this is why I like them so much. Who knows.

6. Birchbox. I heard about this from Summer and then discovered that my roommate Megan was getting one, so I decided I needed to sign up too. You pay $10 a month and get a cute little box with beauty product samples. You can edit your preferences so that you get items that interest you most.

7. Hunter rain boots. I got these little beauties last month in Portland and i love them. I like that they’re short and the color is called ‘brick.’

8. Snow. It’s been snowing here in Boston and I can’t get enough of it. I haven’t fallen yet, so that’s good. And I’m glad I don’t have a car that I have to worry about shoveling out of snow–that would be pretty miserable. The snow is just so magical, especially when it’s just fallen and is soft and fluffy. I can’t stop taking pictures of it. And I won’t stop.

9. Christmas cards. Especially this one, found here.

10. The fact that this exists. Now that I live on the east coast, Disney World is a little bit of a shorter flight. Now I just need to find someone to go with. (Also, this made me laugh because it’s a Mickey Lake. Which made me think of Ricky Lake. Anyway…)

60 Things to Be Grateful For

Happy Hump Day! I read this post a while back and it reminded me of when I was little and would pray before going to sleep. Hump Day Happies (1.12.11)

Hello. Today is my birthday. And it’s Wednesday. So for today’s hump day happies, in no particular order, here is a list of some of my all-time favorite things.

1. Moleskines. I love these notebooks. I think they’re so pretty and functional. They can sometimes be a bit on the pricey side, but worth it.

2. Disney. If you’ve been reading my blog for some time, or if you know me at all, you would be able to tell that I love Disney. There’s a Disney reference for just about everything. I cry in just about every Disney movie. And I just can’t get enough.

3. Pad Thai. Aside from the usual pizza and sushi being my favorite food, I’ve been realizing that pad thai is usually my go-to food of choice.

4. The Color Cranberry. This is my favorite color. If it’s in this color, there’s a pretty good chance that I’m going to like it.

5. F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Best. Show. Ever. Remember how I said there are Disney references for everything? Same goes for this show. I love it so much. So much. Man.

6. Books. I love reading, and I can’t wait to live in a place where I can have a wonderful book shelf full of beautiful books.

7. Candles. Especially the kinds that have a wood wick, so they sound like a crackling fire. My dad doesn’t like having candles around because he’s worried that they will set the house on fire, but I love lighting candles. And I can be kind of a pyro sometimes.

[fact source]

8. Random Facts. I like to know things. And knowing things that people don’t normally know is even better. Yes, I’m kind of strange. But again, if you read this blog, you would already know that.

9. Singing. (And Snow White, but that’s pretty obvious already.) Sometimes I’ll be singing to myself and I don’t even realize it. I hum a lot, too.

10. Metaphors + Puns. Even better if it’s a metaphor and a pun combined, although I don’t know that I’ve heard a good one of those yet.

Hump Day Happies (1.5.11)

Happy first Wednesday of 2011! I already miss typing or writing out 2010. I think it’s just so much prettier than typing or writing out 2011. But I’m sure that 2011 will grow on me. Here is this week’s hump day happies!

1. These beautiful sparkly letters, seen here.

 2. This picture, from here. Sunflowers are my favorite flower.

3. This pencil tip sculpture. See the rest of them here. So cool!

4. This, haha. So funny.

5. This blanket, from the same source as #4. So great.

6. This little guy. So cute.

7. This National Geographic photo. So wonderful. Very Lion King haha.

8. O Organics Pomegranate Italian Soda from Safeway. I don’t like the word “yummy,” but I like this stuff, and this stuff is yummy.

9. Jeremy, Sarah, Franklin, Chris, and Tiff and I made a floss pact for 2011. The goal is to floss every single night. I already failed on January 1st (I know, right?) but I made up for it by flossing in the morning on January 2nd, as well as in the evening. Wonder how long we’ll last.

10. I love these people. Haha at Cobie Smulders cradling an imaginary baby haha.

Hump Day Happies (12.29.10)

Happy Last Hump Day of 2010! Can’t believe we’ll be in 2011 in a few short days. Here’s this week’s hump day happies.

1. This “vintage winter” palette. I love these colors.

 2. These lanterns. So magical.

 3. These chairs. So sleek and cool. Although, I imagine that I would easily slip right off of them, which I imagine not being very cool.

4. Though I would probably never wear it, I think this golden leaves halo is so pretty.

5. I love this image from this vintage engagement shoot.

6. These paper cuts. So pretty, and so many to love.

7. This Precious Moments Snow White musical figurine.

8. This Mickey Mouse tea kettle. I love tea and Mickey, so how can I not own this? I don’t care what kind of kitchen I have when I’m a real adult–this is gonna need to be in it.

9. The fact that I got The Office Season 6 on sale at Target for $14.99 (and that I can actually spend money now–thank you job)!

10. I love this woman. Marge Champion, I would like to be you.
