Reading: I have so much book back-up. I’m participating in Emma’s Book Club of A Beautiful Mess so this month we’re reading The Interestings. So far it’s living up to its name. I’m also reading Tim Keller’s Every Good Endeavor, Delia Ephron’s Sister Mother Husband Dog, Beth Moore’s So Long Insecurity, Nora Ephron’s Crazy Salad and Scribble Scrabble, and possibly something else I’m missing. As you can tell, I’m experiencing some reading attention deficit disorder.
Doing: Trying to catch up on life. Work has been super busy, and once I leave and it’s dark outside I just feel like I have no time left in my day. I was in New York this weekend, which I’ll blog about soon. I’ve also been doing a lot of thinking, which has been somewhat productive for my introverted self. I mean before you really do anything, you have to think, right? Right?
Working on: Following a routine. I was so set on not being confined by some sort of schedule or routine that I didn’t realize that I was still following some sort of routine, only it’s been an unhealthy and subconscious one. I need to get my life organized and work on waking up at a normal human time and getting ready like a normal girl, and eating breakfast and then going to work and coming home and cooking food.
Watching: I’m behind on The Mindy Project, New Girl, and How I Met Your Mother. And I’m very, very behind on Once Upon A Time. I’ll catch up soon. I’ve been watching The Bachelor with Morgan on Mondays, though we missed this week’s. My sister got me Sabrina the Teenage Witch on DVD for Christmas, so I’ve been watching that. Love that show. Tomorrow night I’m heading to a friend’s house and we’re going to watch North and South.
Loving: Snow. I think people are starting to get annoyed with my love of the winter time. Don’t get me wrong–I can find plenty of things about this season to dislike. I’ve just been finding that it’s all the more enjoyable if I don’t complain about how cold and slippery and dry and windy and wet and whatever it is. I get so distracted by falling snow–on the way to New York it started to snow, and I had the loveliest time sitting on the bus looking out the window and watching the snow fall. Though, last night, Amie and I were reminiscing over the lovely rooftop dinners we had during the summer, which did make me kind of miss the sticky humidity and very late-setting sun. Oh how fickle we are.
