Blogging used to be so much easier when I didn’t have to go to work.
- Learn and practice Italian.
-I’m not really making much progress with this, although Summer and I rearranged my room over Memorial Day weekend and I came across my Italian text book, so I’ll be delving into that soon. At least that’s the plan. -
Read the Bible more.
-I think the last time I updated this was the last time I was consistent with my reading. How sad. I’m planning a study day soon though. -
Read at least one book a month.
-I picked up Tim Keller’s The Meaning of Marriage book last month and like it a lot. I haven’t gotten too far though. I used to read at night before bed, but lately, I’ve just been going straight to sleep. -
Practice the guitar.
-I practiced a little bit more since the last time I updated, but I’m still so horrible. I was trying to teach myself some new chords, but every time I’d learn a new one, I’d get sloppy with an old one. -
Attempt to sew something on a sewing machine.
-Bleck. -
Attempt to knit or crochet something.
-I think my ratio of ambition to motivation is off. -
Take courses towards a certificate through Berkeley Extension.
-I don’t know why I keep putting this off. I’m going to look into taking a course in the fall. Might as well just do it instead of talking about it all the time. -
Do at least three crafty projects.
-I’m such a failure. -
Continue exercising.
-This hasn’t been great, but it has been better than usual considering that the SF Half-Marathon is in eight and half weeks. Which calls for forced motivation. -
Get an apartment.
-
Do a shoe & clothes purge.
-
Run a half-marathon.
-8.5 weeks! Though it’s going to be more of a walk/jog than a run, but that counts. -
Bring my lunch to work at LEAST twice a week.
-I haven’t really been keeping track of this. There have been a few weeks where I brought lunch pretty much everyday, but the last couple weeks I’ve been buying stuff. I need to go grocery shopping again soon to get back on track. -
Floss everyday.
-I can’t imagine NOT flossing daily now. -
Study the Book of James.
-People keep suggesting Beth Moore’s study, so I figured I need to put my money where my mouth is and buy the book. And thanks to the Amazon iPhone app, I did just that yesterday. -
Study the Book of Acts.
-Just purchased John Stott’s The Message of Acts book, too. -
Study the Book of Philippians.
-Let’s not get crazy. I’ll get back to you when 16 and 17 are done. -
Read The Hunger Games Trilogy by March 23.
-
Blog at least twice a month.
-Soon and very soon I’m going to write a super long post about everything I’ve been doing this past year, which I’m sure the whole world is highly anticipating. The point of this blog was always so that I could look back on the things I’ve done, so I need to get on that. But so far, my progress isn’t too bad. Even though I didn’t post at all in March, I doubled my quota in January and April.
-
Do a bookmarks purge.
-I really need to get on this because my computer is being super slow lately. Time to clean stuff up! -
Find the perfect shade of red lipstick.
-I’m going to say this is done because I do really like the shade that Sam and Summer picked out. Now I just need to wear it more. -
Eat more bananas.
-So far, so good. And I discovered organic and will never go back. -
Drink more green tea.
-Yesterday was the first day I hadn’t drank coffee since, well, probably since I last updated… I’ll get there.
Happy June!
