Starbucks Letters

Dear Soy Pumpkin Spice Latte,

Thank you for helping me start my morning out right.

Lovingly,
Needs to Get Things Done

Dear Man in Starbucks,

The first time I saw you staring at me, I assumed you had spaced out and it just so happened that your gaze fell on me. Not a problem. The second time I saw you staring at me, I figured I just happened to catch you when you happened to be looking in my direction. We all do it. Again, not a problem. The third time I saw you staring at me, I decided that you’re a little creepy.

Sincerely,
Girl in Starbucks

Dear Little Girl,

I don’t mind that you are staring at me. You’re cute and curious, and I have a soft spot in my heart for cute and curious little kids. I understand the need to learn about people.

Happily,
Former Cute & Curious Little Girl

Dear Mother of Little Girl,

You left your sweet little girl sitting here at the table all by herself. I don’t even leave my laptop unsupervised. I have to say, I’m a little disappointed.

Worriedly,
Devoted to Laptop & Children Protection

Dear McLellan Drive Starbucks,

Thank you for providing me with a place to study tax information, as well as observe strangers in coffee house environments. You truly are a hidden gem here in my little town. And thanks for the free wi-fi!

Devoted,
Starbucks Fan

P.S. It’s just a tad too cold in here. Is that a tactic you use so that I’ll want to buy more hot drinks? Because it just might work.

  1. Dear Friend,

“I like to start my notes to you as if we're already in the middle of a conversation…” Thank you for publishing all of these wonderful letters.

    Lovingly,
    Thoroughly Amused
